Castor oil has a drawing action on the body, helping to get rid of toxins and tension build up. It also increases circulation to the area, therefore, speeding up the body’s own process of healing.

Reason for use:
1. improving digestion
2. glandular imbalance
3. detoxification
4. joint difficulties

Material needed:
1. flannel cloth
2. plastic covering (saran wrap)
3. electric heating pad
4. towel

Instructions:
The flannel cloth should be 3 or 4 layers when folded. For an abdominal pack, it should measure roughly 10 inches in width and 12 inches in length. Pour castor oil on cloth covering area. Place the cloth in a pyrex glass pan. Pre-heat the oven to its lowest setting. Turn off the heat when the oven is heated. Place the pan in the oven for a few minutes to pre-warm. Never overheat the oil. Make sure cloth is wet but not dripping with oil. Place against skin. Cover with plastic then place heating pad over and cover totally with a towel to contain the heat. Turn heating pad to medium and then high if the body can tolerate it. The pack should remain for at least one hour or two if time permits. After use, the cloth can be wrapped in plastic and placed in the fridge for re-use. This prevents the oil from evaporating. After 20 uses discard flannel and replace. To finish the pack, cleanse the skin with a baking soda and water solution (1 tsp. baking soda to 1 quart of water).

Frequency:
Do a pack each night before a colon treatment for increased results or when back or abdominal pain is experienced.
Note: this pack can be used anywhere for tension, when tired to alleviate pain. Excellent for menstrual cramps.
