- Avoid tap water. Drink purified water. See PiMag technology on our website.
- Avoid drinking with meals. Small amounts of liquid may be taken with meals but avoid washing food down with large gulps.
- Find a good health food store. Buy a good health food cook book. Eat organic.
- Avoid carbonated drinks, especially with meals, as it inhibits absorption.
- Combine food properly. Eat fruits alone; starches and proteins do not combine well.
- Eat when hungry but do not overeat. Avoid eating while under stress.
- Chew thoroughly in a relaxed atmosphere; digestion begins in the mouth. Avoid eating past 8:00 pm.
- Limit your intake of oils, but when necessary use light flavoured and coloured cold-pressed oils. Flax oil or hemp seed oil are great on salads, but should never be heated.
- Dilute all fruit juices.
- Avoid sugar, salt, heated oils, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical drugs as much as possible.
- Eliminate coffee, decaffeinated coffee and black tea.
- The best bread to eat is essene (sprouted) bread or dark rye. Limit whole wheat or gluten products (bread is a filler, not a feeder). Try gluten free flour for bread (buckwheat, rice, millet, quinoa and corn).
- The best milk substitutes are Rice Dream, almond or cashew milk and banana milk. Moderate soy consumption.
- The best grains are millet, brown rice and quinoa (organic).
- Night shade vegetables should be limited because of a chemical called alkaloid which may irritate the joints, causing arthritis (white potatoes, tomatoes, sweet peppers and eggplant).
- 70% of your diet should be fresh and raw in warm months (less in cold months). Do not boil vegetables – steaming is best.
- Choose alkaline foods over acidic. Avoid all citrus except lemons, limes and grapefruit, which are natural cleansers for the body. They are alkaline-based and help remove excess mucus which leads to acidosis.
- Try to avoid dried fruits, especially sulfured. Fresh fruit is best.
- Instead of sugar or honey, use barley malt, rice syrup, fruit juices, or occasionally, pure maple syrup or sweeteners.
- Tofu is a protein. It contains the eight essential amino acids. Cook with it, but do not overdo it in order to avoid mucus build-up and trapped protein problems.
- Avoid foods which are too hot or too cold. Place on your wrist to test. If they burn or freeze your wrist, what will they do to your inside?
